Red Wagon Rally
What better way to open American Family Fest activities and to celebrate families than to Parade Families around the Park? Everyone is invited to be a part of the parade. Do you have matching family T-shirts, hats or do you all juggle? What fun way can you say, “We are a family” Don’t forget to bring the little red wagon. There will be special prizes in several categories for the best “little red wagon float.” No entry needed for families only.  Just show up and bring the whole neighborhood on Monday, June 2nd at 5:00 PM.

Camping Palooza
Does your family love to camp? How long does it take you to “set up” camp? We’ll haul the camping equipment in and you will get to show off your skills of “setting it up”. We’ll have the timers and the judges available to see what family sets the record.

Listen to the Mockingbird
Does Polly want to store her crackers in your very clever bird house? Maybe Grandpa has his own design or perhaps it is little Lena who feathers the nest. Show up with your bird house, condo, beach house or cottage and let the judges choose. There are no size requirements and no limitations of any kind. There will be lots of fun categories for prizes.

Family Feud
The whole family will find a “leg” in this race. Maybe it is your intelligence, coordination skills or it could be that little Jason is just very clever. Here is where families compete against families no matter what the age. The Hatfields and McCoys would love this one. There are a limited number of spots in this category.

Bumbling Bulls Eye
This archery tournament would please even Maid Marion. There are no age limitations or height requirements. Little Marty can even play with the arrows when you are not looking. The best of the best sharp shooters will be awarded, as well as many others, in a few unexpected categories. No need to bring equipment.  Bows and arrows will be provided!

Grumpy Grandpa Contest
This is the chance you have always dreamed of, the chance to celebrate your grumpy grandpa. It takes one grandpa and one child or grandchild. Grandpa will sit in front of you so the crowd can see his face as you answer the questions to prove how well you know your grandpa. Be sure and listen to the stories of his life before you get there.
It may help to know just what it is that makes him grumpy!
